GOD'S PROMISE

I found this while looking thru some comments trying to find one for a good friend of mine. As I read it it dawned on me that this is God's promise too. He's there thru all of these things, we just need to realize that more often. He's ALWAYS here for us.

GOD'S PROMISE

If you need to talk,
I'll listen.
If you need to cry,
I'll hold you.
If you feel lost,
I'll help guide you.
If you need to be angry,
I'll let you.
If you're feeling afraid,
I'll comfort you.
If you're feeling attacked,
I'll be your defense.
If you need to lean awhile,
I'll give you a shoulder.
If you're feeling unsure,
I'll be your confidence.
If you're feeling alone,
I'll be the friend who won't leave you.
If you need to learn to trust again,
I'll prove to you that you can.

Letting God Drive

I found this in my devotional this morning and I'm going to make this my New Year's resolution. How many of us turn ALL the driving over to God? That's my problem. I only let Him have part of the driving and then complain because He isn't driving where I want to go or He's not driving fast enough! So please pray for me this coming year as I try to let God do ALL the driving.

Let God drive.
Let Him do the navigating and planning of the best route to take you on this coming year. Well---actually for the rest of the drive. All the way to heaven’s gates. I guarantee you will enjoy the ride much more if you relinquish control of the steering wheel to the Master GPS.

So tell me ladies (and gentlemen), who is holding the sign on the road you are on?
And what does it say? Go? Slow down? Wait? Stop? Or, maybe it says, "I am with you...always..." The sign is easily read. It's found in His word. Every promise. Every detail of our lives is completely covered.
God will be holding the sign, directing the flow of traffic. Don't take on more tasks than He has called you to this year. Clean out your closets--both spiritually and physically. (That is my yearly mantra.) AND last but not least---as you open up your heart to Him afresh each day, ask Him to reveal more of His Word and life to you as you dig in and study!

My dear Heavenly Father,

I want to take this time to tell you I love you!
I love you because you first loved me and sent your son to die for me. Even
if I was the only person on this earth you would have still died for me!
Lord, to know this but to live this is totally two different things so Lord
please help me to live today as you are returning today! Lord, give me
boldness as you did Paul to tell others to get ready because He is coming
back! Lord thank you this time we have to be with our spiritual families,
family and friends and may we keep you in the center of everything we do!
We love you, my Savior and King!"

In love with Him,

My body

I just got this in an email and thought 'how true is this?' If you're my age you'll understand.

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.

I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ...

But that's not the worst of it.

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things

even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter .either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Thoughts

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Parade

Went to the Charles Town Christmas Parade today & boy was it cold!!! The parade was at 2pm & it's now 6:30pm & I'm just now getting warmed back up. I thought I'd be okay as Oklahoma weather is much colder. I forgot I haven't been in Oklahoma in the winter for several years & while I was on the truck with Steve the only time I got off the truck were breaks, showers & some meals.Wasn't out in the weather any at all. With me, if my behind gets cold then I'm cold & it takes forever for me to get warm again! My favorite part of the parade was the Clydesdale horses & buggies. I guess I must have lived in the 1800's in a previous life or something. I'm currently watching the Janette Oke dvd's & they're based in the 1800's & I love them! The bands were good too, especially the Jefferson High & the Washington band. After the parade we all went to the Petretta's for hot drinks & food. The chili was really good (thanks Kathy!). I really enjoyed watching the kids at the house. Little Kaitlyn & I got to know each other a little better too. They're to be here tomorrow so we'll see if she remembers me. So nice to meet Thomas too, My prayers are with Steve. He's stuck in Ohio with a load that doesn't deliver til Monday (he was supposed to be home yesterday) & it's cold & snowy. He is also struggling with some issues & needs prayers.
